Last weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Yonglin Organization Women power annual conference, an event dedicated to celebrate all their women based projects during the year. When I first stepped into the venue, I could feel the energy of unity and deeply felt the saying “women can do anything when united together” came to life.
The event started with an opening speech by Yonglin Organization’s CEO Shirley Gou. She stated that this year marks the first launch of the “Yonglin Mom Dream Builder”. This initiative aims to support mothers in turning their dreams into reality by assisting them with resources and support. The program received an abundant amount of applications from all over Taiwan which highlighted the need for women’s employment. This event showcases the achievements of these inspiring women re-entering the workforce.
In addition to the speeches, the event featured interactive stands each with one female entrepreneur introducing their project and products that they made. In one of the stands, I embroidered my name onto a Yonglin tote bag. It was super cute!!
The best part about this conference was that I got to meet so many inspirational women and listened to their stories of how they started their company. There was a mom of two kids, and she loved to write but had no time and resources to come out with her own book. Therefore, Yonglin supported her and at the end, she wrote her own books and even opened a workshop teaching other mothers how to be great storytellers. Hearing about their journeys made me realize that it is never too late to chase after your dreams and no obstacles are unsurpassable when you believe in yourself.
